MaterialSum is a collection of free, fast calculators for home improvement and landscaping materials. Every calculation runs in your browser — no accounts, no tracking walls, no clutter.
We built it because "how much do I need?" is the first question of every project, and the answer is usually a simple formula hidden behind a confusing quote or a forum thread from 2011.
How our calculators work
Each calculator uses published material densities, standard bag sizes, and documented formulas. Metric and imperial units are supported everywhere, and purchase quantities always include a waste allowance you control.

Results are planning estimates. Material varies by supplier, moisture, and compaction — always confirm final quantities with your supplier, and treat structural work (footings, load-bearing slabs) as a job for qualified professionals.
